Crowdsourcing Week Summit D.C. (June 15) Will Bring Crowd Innovation to Center Stage

By Michael Contreras

We live in very exciting times. Technology is fuelling disruptive business models. Companies can engage with customers on entirely new levels. Crowds are being tapped into for wide-reaching applications from healthcare to aerospace research, and even to solve some of the world’s most critical challenges.

Everything is happening so fast because technology is harnessing the minds of the crowds - to innovate and generate new ideas for business, government, and social enterprises.

Crowdsourced innovation, collective intelligence (AI + HI), and a 10x mindset is needed in order for organizations to become the engine of innovation. That's why Crowdsourcing Week has created a platform of conferences, workshops and courses - empowering leaders globally to push collaboration and innovation and helping them to thrive in the new economy.

We are very excited to be partnering with Crowdsourcing Week for their upcoming CSW Summit D.C., which will take place in Washington on June 15th. During this one-day summit, US and International crowdsourcing practitioners will share how crowdsourcing is shaping their industries and is transforming organizations today.

Some of the enterprise leaders and innovators that will be taking stage at the D.C. summit include Milan Koch (Managing Director of Accelerators at AngelHack), our very own Mike Contreras (Co-Founder & Director of SensisChallenges) and Major Stephen Gerry (Acquisition & Procurement Officer at the U.S. Department of Defense).

  • Milan Koch is the Managing Director of Accelerators at AngelHack, the world’s largest and most diverse global hacker community, helping to drive open innovation of tech products, platforms and brands. The HACKcelerator program is a pre-accelerator designed and managed by Milan and has generated many notable successes, including two exits to Google and one to BOX. Before moving to Silicon Valley, Milan co-founded a big-data startup in Germany that received investment from the European Union.

  • Mike Contreras is our co-founder and director of SensisChallenges, where he launched innovation programs for brands and organizations such as US Army, JPEO-CBD, HHS, CDC, NIH, KaBOOM!, and Project Paradigm. He has a strong passion for creatively transforming ideas into successful businesses. For a chance to connect with Mike, register for CSW Summit D.C. using our exclusive promotional code ‘CSWDC15’ which will offer 15% off all ticket prices.

  • Major Stephen Gerry is an Acquisition and Procurement officer for the US Department of Defense (DoD). In partnership with SensisChallenges, Major Gerry launched the Proof Challenge, a social media-based challenge sourcing innovative improvement ideas to redesign chemical warfare suits. Designers were invited to compete for a prize pool of $250,000 by submitting designs to improve the military’s collection. The project reached millions receiving a total of 79 unique submissions.

These three speakers and the knowledge they will share makes for an exciting and dynamic one-day conference on June 15th. So don’t miss out and join us in Washington for a chance to meet disruptive innovators and learn about how crowdsourcing is shaping the world we live in today!

Early registration is possible here with Early Bird tickets up to 15% off full price.

We hope to see you at #CSWDC!
